Art and sunshine

we have had such a lovely time in the sunshine so far this week! We’ve really tried to make the most of it by spending lots of time outdoors. Lots of us were busy with Mrs Whittaker planting lettuce with forest school at the start of the week, and we’ve tried to have some snack and stories in the sun too!
at the beginning of the week we went for a walk around school to find anything from nature that we could use to make our own collages of a plant. We used what we have been learning about in Science, and discussed the different things we might find, such as sticks, leaves, grass, seeds and even petals from flowers. We thought carefully about the different materials we could use for the different parts of a plant and came up with some lovely ideas.
We worked in pairs for this as we’ve been thinking about how to work as a team in 1TH, so we used our listening skills and helped each other the design and create our plant collages. One team even got a Team Ant postcard for working well together!
